i had a fun day today
i had a great day, somewhat. met jonathan for lunch, a friend from bmtc, and it was nice to get back in touch again. talked somewhat about our expectations at nus, how we got there, even a sharing about how ns provided new perspective for him. then i met an old man doing his regular exercises and talked with hi a bit about the neighbourhood, and he said that its simply sad when people don't want to come down and exercise when they have time, anod now the foreign workers are simply coming in and filling the vacuum residents didn't bother to fill. which makes sense.
then later on, it was swimming (or near-drowning for me) with eugene, and then a run, and we watched sprinters from some siglap club train. it was nice, and eugene was interested in the mentality of an athlete, or in this case a sprinter. then we saw other very fit people running and running many, many, many rounds, and we were watching in awe. then it was back to the pool to get back our stuff, cos the stadium didn't have lockers. and i lost my watch there. too bad. deflated a bit, but i only realised that after dinner at TM, where we had a more than decent meal at the foodcourt.
i wish every other day was like this. and now i'm beat and my eyes are heavier than lead, and .....zzzzzzz
