26th feb 2007, again citi

26th february 2007 citi

at citi, and i have to book in to camp by tomorrow, where SOC awaits me. this issue aside, the main reason i'm posting an entry here is because i had a rather interesting conversation with rui qiang and wee siang regarding faith, christianity in particular.

rui qiang had a lot of questions, but i guess i manage to answer them, judging from the way he opens his mouth, momentarily stunned by my answers. and i had to draw my answers both from the Bible and from lee strobel's case for a creator...

and he had those ideas which i once had, about translation, interpretation, historical validity. the very same doubts that i once had before i truly committed, and i'm still learning. i guess that conversation with him was cool. in the end, i know that as a christian, its is my duty to lead him to salvation, but at the end, i'm so sorry, he remained unconvinced. as much as i try, i know that i couldn't force. because He gave all of us a choice, simply to believe or not to. we as christians, can only show them the door, but it is still up to them whether to open it. as they say, you can lead the horse to the water, but you can't force the horse to drink the water. whether they want to drink from the water of eternal life, in the end, its still up to them.

some struggles...

and i think i just found 2 out of 5 people whom i can ask to go for, on april 6th. thank you Father.

and cell this friday will be tight. either i can make it, or i'll fail terribly. cos i have guard duty on saturday, which means that i have to book in on friday night. and then i have to go from citi, to home, to bishan again, and then finally, to camp. not sure what my mum will say, but she'll probably forbid me to go to bishan. yeah. this is something to pray about definitely. and to commit to God. so yeah Father, its in Your hands... i commit today, tomorrow, and everyday unto Your hands. amen.

hmm.. realised that there aren't too many days left here in citi, living a near civi life. but thank God for these wonderful days, where i've met charles, which has allowed me the time and space to grow in the Lord. but You'll give me wonderful days ahead, even in camp. so yeah. give thanks and praises! NS doesn't mean waste time, and in camp doesn't mean waste time either. times of testing...
