my room is a little emptier today, after i moved the table lamp and the speakers to the hostel. all thats left is the laptop, more cables, chargers, some paper, some books, and the shoes - shucks i forgot about the shoes.

the first week is simply about adjustment - the laundry, the shower, the chow, the daily schedule. Eating and laundry - very much concerned about that, and not that i'm worry about the money side, still, have to figure out how to live well while being financially conservative.

A reason for excitement: thursday is farewell for shaun. as his good friend, definitely wishing him well for his life ahead at michigan. hope he comes up with something exciting there. before he leaves, there'll be a farewell thingy for him on thursday, and hopefully will see some great acquaintances there meeting shaun, buzzing with ideas and innovation for the future of Singapore. thats a tall idea, but thats the basic idea. the gathering was Zheng xi's idea, and shaun's departure was an excuse.

so... already have some YR, maybe some syinc people might be down there, and other than that, can't think much about who else might make it. it'll be full of people who already know about TED, and all that remains is to see how many people can make it... Adapting TED ideas is the first step - as a leapfrog to maybe other mindblowing, world-class ideas worthy of implementation, considerations aside. alritey...
